Many women are afraid of making their muscles too big if they decide to include strength training in their daily training.

Rest assured, this is false! On the other hand, there are several benefits included in strength training.

First of all, it's no surprise that strength training burns calories in our body. It also improves the body posture, which is very important. In addition, strength training really helps increase self-confidence as well as muscle tone. Finally, training our muscles improves the health of our bones.

In addition to reducing depression, anxiety, pain and loneliness, physical activity helps improve concentration, academic performance, sleep and energy levels.

L'alimentation aide au sport !

To perform well in your sports activity during the day, it is important to eat snacks before and after.

Before training

We recommend that you have a snack 30 to 60 minutes before a physical activity rich in carbohydrates. This snack allows you to have more energy, eliminate your hunger and lower your blood sugar. We suggest that you do not take high fat snacks, as they are more difficult to digest and will reach your level of performance in your sports activity.

Post workout

If hunger is uncontrollable at the end of your physical activity, you can have a post-workout snack, but it is not necessary to have one if your workout was less than an hour. A workout lasting more than an hour, it is important to consume carbohydrates and proteins to promote your recovery. Protein also helps reduce hunger. It is not necessary to have a snack if you have a workout scheduled for 24 hours after the last one. It is important to distribute protein well during the week and not just during training.

So don't forget your snacks and it's important to stay hydrated!

Howard Grant Joins Danzo Team

In order to always offer a wide choice of training, Danzo is adding a Boxing section to his training routines, which will be overseen by none other than Howard Grant, a former renowned boxer.

Howard has also trained many accomplished mixed martial artists including decorated champion, Georges St. Pierre, Bellator Welterweight World Champion, Rory MacDonald, former top UFC middleweight contender, Patrick Côté, former TKO Middleweight Champion, David L’Oiseau and many others.
